French composer Pascal Comelade has been making music for over forty years: over twenty albums have been released under his name, countless singles, EPs, compilations, soundtracks, collaborations with other musicians, including P.J. Harvey, Robert Wyatt, Jaki Liebezeit, and Faust.
Exclusively for WEEK-END Fest he is releasing a 4-track 7“ EP with newly recorded music. Comelade has always been known for his great cover versions of his favorite songs. On „Deviastionist Muzak“ he presents reworks of songs like “Billy The Monster” (The Deviants), “Black Is Black” (Los Bravos) and “Sweet Virginia” (The Rolling Stones) besides a rework of his own “Don‘t Touch My Blue Oyster Shoes“ – a song he had previously released in the early 2000s.
